North Carolina Workers Compensation Premium Reduction

posted on

We have recently received word from the North Carolina Rate Bureau (NCRB) that the 'Expense Constant' fee will be decreasing.  This is great news as it will finally offer some relief to small business, especially contractors that have little or no employees.  The Expense Constant is a fee charged on all workers compensation policies sold through the NCRB to cover the costs of associated with issuing your policy.  If you are a one person company, or maybe only employ a couple of people, chances are your policy is tied to the NCRB.  This is the first time I can recall seeing workers comp prices decrease.

In addition to the NCRB, TGI Insurance also offers workers compensation coverage through several voluntary markets to fill the needs of businesses of all sizes.  We have also contracted with a few new carriers in the past year that specialize in contractors workers compensation.
